History and Mission
Family & Community Service of Delaware County (FCSDC) has proudly served the residents of the county for over 100 years.
The present FCSDC evolved from the consolidation of five family service organizations in Delaware County between 1940 and 1946. The oldest of the five consolidating organizations began operations in March 1913.
FCSDC is a private, nonprofit, multi-service organization. Our mission is to build stronger communities through healthy, empowered individuals and families. To that end, we strive to meet the basic needs of those most vulnerable.
Currently, FCSDC offers services from offices in Media, Springfield, and Chester as well as other community sites.
